17- Frenzic Temptation

Late at night, in a faraway desert I lit a fire Sitting there alone fighting every desire All I wanted is to get some rest from a big depression I had tiresome times and my heart sought salvation ..

As the wood burned, my mind was enlightened with a mystical thought Why did Adam and Eve chose to eat from the tree? Weren't they taught? Wasn't it the heavenly paradise large enough to quench their thirst? What makes an intelligent being lose what's good for what's worst?

Why do some eyes choose to be blind when they can clearly see? Why they take dangerous long voyages in a dark sea? Some enjoy suffocating in a strange wilderness And stop breathing fresh life and lose their happiness ..

Others give no warning When they quit their pleasant world They do not give a sign, they just pack and leave without saying a word What is pushing them to make a such radical decision? Is it weariness or the urge for a new vision?

Like a saint worshiper tired of his values and his large fate Decides to venture in a new world and knocks on Lucifer's gate Thinking, by fooling around with his newest friend, the devil He can understand God's ways and reach the higher level ..

As I added sticks to my beautiful fire I could clearly understand When I saw insects jumping into the blaze without a helping hand It was the beauty of the light that brought them to their extermination We are ready to gamble with our lives, What a Frenzic Temptation ..

“When women go wrong, men go right after them.” ― Mae West
