I'm sorry for not being The man that you've ever wanted; The son that you've ever wanted, The brother that you've ever wanted, The husband that you've ever wanted, And the father that you've ever wanted,

I'm sorry for not being The friend that you've ever wanted, The neighbor that you've ever wanted, The teacher that you've ever wanted, The coworker that you've ever wanted, And the citizen that you've ever wanted,

But I'm not sorry to have become The man that I've always wanted, As pure as crystal clear waters, Untouched by the hands of the sin, As unique as a virgin island, With white sands and beautiful landscapes, Never ever been printed by strange footsteps,

And I'm not sorry To have let my thoughts fly free To reach higher skies, To have opened my eyes widely To see the invisible beauty hidden in everyone of us,

And most of all, I'm not sorry To have warmed my heart enough To forgive every hurt you've given to me So, I'm sorry for not being The man that you've ever wanted

“Whether we wound or are wounded, the blood that flows is red.” ― Eiichirō Oda
